Why Tofino?
Tofino is a year-round nature lover's paradise! We have many kilometers of sandy beaches for hiking and surfing, thousands of square miles of pristine Pacific Ocean for fishing and kayaking, and many miles of rainforest trails- both in and outside the Pacific Rim National Park.
Spring sees the arrival of the first Grey Whales of the season, the weather is ever changing, and the town is still waking up from its winter slumber. It's a great time of year for beachcombing and enjoying all that Tofino has to offer before the summer crowds come. Check out our great shoulder season rates!
As with most tourist destinations, the summer is the busy time of year. The weather is nice, the fishing is phenomenal, and all the local wildlife is out and about. What more can you say about this magical time of year? Come and get your slice of Tofino this summer!
Things really begin to slow down here after Labour Day. Most of the tourists have gone home, but the salmon are still chomping, weather is still fantastic, and the surf begins to pick up. Ask any local what their favorite month is, and they will probably tell you, "September". Also, our fall rates come into effect!
Winter is tough on the West Coast, but if you come prepared for the elements, you will be in for a treat. In November, the storms begin to hit the BC Coast, and the storm watching season comes alive. Hurricane force winds and 30 foot seas make for some great winter sightseeing. Plus, cheap winter rates!
